    Catherine York Powers

    Managing Director and CEO

    Catherine York Powers serves as a Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Prior experience includes Mrs. Powers' senior management roles with SunEdison, Inc. (NYSE: SUNE), a global renewable energy company.


    At SunEdison, Mrs. Powers was a founding member of its investment banking arm. As the lead for global acquisitions, she oversaw a team that evaluated over 25 gigawatts of solar PV assets and acquired and integrated 2.6 gigawatts. Mrs. Powers also developed new markets in the Caribbean and Latin America with broad responsibilities for public policy development, project acquisition and development, project finance, and asset operation.


    Her prior experience includes P&L management in the homeland security and telecommunications sectors. Mrs. Powers has extensive public affairs experience on tax, energy, intellectual property, security, and labor matters.


    Mrs. Powers attended the Kogod School of Business, American University.

    Jubran Whalan

    Managing Director

    Jubran Whalan serves as a Managing Director responsible for origination, commodity risk management and asset optimization. Prior experience includes Mr. Whalan’s role as Managing Director of Global Structured Products at BP (NYSE:BP).


    At BP, Mr. Whalan was responsible for origination and management of risk management solutions across a broad range of energy commodities designed to meet producers and consumers risk management, hedging and strategic goals.


    Prior to BP, Mr. Whalan was responsible for TransAlta’s (TA:CA) global commodity trading, origination and wholesale marketing business and led the development of corporate growth strategies for project development, due diligence, acquisitions, greenfield developments, environmental risk mitigation and speculative emissions investments. TransAlta is leading power generator and wholesale marketer of electricity with more than $9 billion in assets. Mr. Whalan has also held similar positions at SunEdison and Enron.


    Mr. Whalan graduated from Texas A&M earning his BS degree in Maritime Administration.


    Paul Jameson

    Managing Director

    Paul Jameson serves as Managing Director responsible for sourcing, structuring and executing investments. Prior experience includes Mr. Jameson's role as CFO of Elevate Investment Group, an investment management company focused on real estate and energy asset development.


    At Elevate, Mr. Jameson oversaw the company's financial strategy and reporting, established a formal investment approval process and secured multiple project and fund-level debt instruments. Prior to Elevate, Mr. Jameson was a founding member of SunEdison's investment banking arm where he led the acquisition of development assets and companies valued over $250MM. Mr. Jameson also structured the financing of over $200MM of tax equity while managing several cross-functional teams.


    Mr. Jameson began his career with McKinsey & Company, advising Fortune 500 clients in the Telecommunications, Healthcare and Manufacturing sectors on new market entry strategies, post-merger management and incentive plan structuring.


    Mr. Jameson graduated Magna Cum Laude from Duke University, earning his BS degree in Mathematics & Economics.


    Jesse Herrick

    Managing Director

    Jesse Herrick serves as a Managing Director responsible for asset management and operations. Prior experience includes Mr. Herrick's role as Chief Financial Officer of American DG Energy, Inc. (NYSE: ADGE), an on-site utility that develops and operates natural gas-fired combined heat and power assets, where he focused on asset optimization and management to improve financial returns.


    Prior to joining American DG Energy, Mr. Herrick founded the equity research practice at Scarsdale Equities, LLC, serving as a clean technology equity analyst. Previously, he was Managing Director at Merriman Capital where he launched the Advanced Hydrocarbon Technologies practice which focused on the energy efficient implementation of hydrocarbon-based fuels. During his equity research career, he was involved in raising over $1.5 billion for clean technology companies.


    Mr. Herrick holds FINRA Series 7, 63, 86 and 87 registrations. He received his MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley and received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara.

    Robert Hemphill

    Advisory Board Member


    Mr. Hemphill serves as a sector advisor to Constant Energy Capital. In 1981, Mr. Hemphill was one of three co-founders of AES (NYSE: AES). AES, a global electric power generating and distribution company, owns and operates ~$39 billion in assets.


    Mr Hemphill was the founder and CEO of AES Solar Power Ltd until the end of 2013. The company was a joint venture of the AES Corporation and Riverstone LLC, an energy focused private equity fund. Under his leadership, the company developed, financed and constructed 51 solar plants (526 MW) in 7 countries for $2.5 billion in assets.


    Since leaving AES Solar, Mr. Hemphill has published two books about his energy and business experiences and is a columnist for Huffington Post.


    Mr. Hemphill graduated Magna Cum Laude from Yale University and earned an MA from UCLA and an MBA from George Washington University. He served as an airborne infantry officer in the US Army in Vietnam, and in the Special Forces.

    Richard Berthy

    Advisory Board Member


    Mr. Berthy serves an Advisory Board Member to Constant Energy Capital and is the Chief Executive Officer of Foreside Financial Group. Foreside delivers a range of distribution and compliance solutions to clients in the investment management industry.


    With $850 billion assets under distribution, Foreside's solutions include fund, broker-dealer and advisor compliance services, distribution consulting, legal underwriting, FINRA licensing to U.S. and non-U.S. sponsors of closed-end, open-end, exchange traded funds and private placements as well as retail and institution broker-dealers and asset management firms.


    Mr. Berthy has owned several other businesses primarily in the financial services industry. He holds FINRA Series 7, 24, 63, 79 and 99 registrations.


    Mr. Berthy earned a BS degree in Business Economics and Finance from Miami University.
